How to contact the Governing Body

The Government has high expectations of Governing bodies.

They are the strategic leaders of our school and have a vital role to play in making sure every child gets the best possible education.

The purpose of maintained school Governing bodies is to ‘conduct the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement at the school’

The Governors' focus is on three strategic functions:

a. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
b. Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils; and
c. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

If you are interested in becoming a Governor or wish to contact the Chair of Governors for any reason contact Clerk to Governors, Miss Moorhouse for advice - HPSgovernors@haverigg.cumbria.sch.uk or daytime 772502.
